On the first day participants learnt about all aspects of gambling including; policy and legislation, gambling and gaming convergence and problem gambling behaviours. Participants also heard from a young person who shared their experience with problem gambling. On the second day they visited the Gambling Treatment & Research Centre at the University of Sydney where they learnt about different treatments clinic staff use as well as some of their research work.
The evaluations from the participants were very positive with one participant commenting:
“Thoroughly enjoyed all the guest speakers and hearing from service workers regarding the growing impact of gambling. Thank you for your efforts.”
