Applications for Infrastructure Grants open 1 May

The next Infrastructure Grants funding round of 2018 will open on Tuesday 1 May.

Funding is available for constructing, renovating and fitting-out infrastructure in the areas of arts and culture, emergency preparedness, and sport and recreation.

The Infrastructure Grants Program is funded through the Clubgrants Category 3 Fund, which reinvests profits from gaming machines into community projects. Each year over $12 million is available for projects.

To date in this financial year, 47 projects have been funded across NSW including Alstonville in the North, Albury in the South and Cobar in the West.

Recently funded projects include:

  • Refurbishment of the New England Regional Art Museum gallery to transform the Museum into the most comprehensive exhibition of historical Australian art between Sydney and Brisbane.
  • Construction of remote flood risk monitoring infrastructure in Bellingen to increase flood awareness and reduce risk to the community during road closures and major storm events.
  • Construction of the new Hot Shots tennis courts in Jerrabomberra to support Tennis Australia's official development program for children and to include new tennis coaching programs for regional communities.

The deadline for applications has now closed.
