Reforms to liquor and gambing legislation

The NSW Government will implement reforms to liquor and gaming legislation including post-employment restrictions for liquor and gaming key officials, that were passed by Parliament in March 2018.

All Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) senior executive employees, and non-senior executive employees with a high level of influence and decision-making, are prohibited from working in the liquor or gaming industries for up to two years.

These restrictions give the community greater confidence that L&GNSW, as an industry regulator, is operating in their best interests.

The changes will also change penalties for certain liquor and gaming offences and standardise regulatory powers of L&GNSW for its oversight of the liquor and gaming industries.
