GambleAware Week 2024

GambleAware Week 2024 will run from Monday 21 to Sunday 27 October. Start thinking about how you can support and promote this campaign.

What is GambleAware Week

GambleAware Week is an annual initiative aimed at increasing community awareness of the risks of gambling and gambling harm. This year’s campaign focuses on raising awareness of safer gambling practices. It encourages people to reflect on their gambling and the gambling of those around them.

We all have a role to play in keeping the community safe and well informed, and we encourage you to get involved in this important campaign.

How the week is promoted

We will have some paid advertising and public relations for GambleAware Week, but we rely on our stakeholders to spread the word and promote the week.

We are developing a suite of creative assets to help you promote the campaign. These resources will be available to download from this page in early September. We’ll also have an online register of GambleAware Week events, so people can find out what’s taking place near them. We'll share information on how you can register your events in August.

We need your support

To make GambleAware Week 2024 a success and ensure the community is talking about safer gambling practices, we need your help sharing the campaign with your networks and in your communities.

You can support GambleAware Week by displaying our posters and digital screens in your office, venue or approved public space, posting the videos to your social media accounts, or using the website and newsletter header to send information out to your stakeholders.

But why not go bigger and plan an event where you can engage directly with your community?

What other support is available

Each GambleAware region has its own community engagement team who may be available to support you in your promotions, including providing expert advice or even partnering with you on a local event. Reach out to your local service and see how you can work together to best serve your community.
